Welcome to 2008!
A year of much high expectations
and of much excitement.
The door has opened to a great new and exciting year.
PRCCPC pledges itself to start off with a banner
year for its members and its county.
The chamber will be very busy bringing forth
many ways for its members and volunteers to
share in the growth of their businesses , but also of the
networking arena and its chamber.
The 2008 Spring Season will kick off with a
"Business 2 Business Expo" scheduled for
Late spring of 2008.An ideal venue
to highlight and showcase your product and services to all of
Polk County and of course its surrounding areas.

Beginning with March we will be having a series of
"Rapido (Speed) Networking" functions.
A new and innovative networking technique
highlighted on CNN News. A way of getting
your voice out there about your business and services.
Within a matter of time to
introduce yourself in a span of 5 minutes to a room of many.
Stay tune for date and time and make your reservation ASAP
once event is posted.
Coming soon also "Serie de Oradores" a Speaker Series.
Showcasing professionals from all areas in the Polk County
Puerto Rican,Hispanic and Non-Hispanic community.
These will be breakfasts or luncheon events.
Our first speaker will be on Feb 2 at 1:30pm during our first
2008 chamber member meeting at the Lakeland Public Library.

Ms.Dorethea Brooks of Florida SBDC.
Also be on the look out for the much anticipated of event of events.
"Guayabera Nights"
Enjoy a Happy Hour Networking in your best Guayabera.
Also prepare to take a couple of lessons in Salsa with
the rest of those networking that evening.
Slotted for a Wednesday or Thursday from 5:30pm to 8:30pm
Somewhere in Downtown Lakeland.
So stay tune for a fun and exhilarating event!
Then join us at The Farmers Market in Lakeland near
Munn Park,sometime this late spring as well.
A sort of Block Party for the community to come and enjoy.
Music,dance,food,vendors and much much more to enjoy a great day
full of the taste of Puerto Rico.

Last November 9th,our first Puerto Rican Film Festival was a success.
The Honorable Velda Gonzalez de Modestti was presented with the key to the
City of Lakeland and we were all very proud that night for being Boriqua!
