What is the Youth Council's agenda..
Hello future Youth Council members,
My name is Alberto J. Rodriguez,my family and friends call me "AJ".
My mother is the founder of PRCCPC.
I am the founder and President of the Youth Council for the Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of Polk County.
My vision and dream for this portion of our chamber is to design programs , fundraisers for our growing young hispanic and non-hispanic community. We , the chamber want the youth of its chamber to be the ones who will instill the importance of becoming the best we can be. This state of being can only be instilled through continuing our education, sharing our dreams with our families, members,sponsors and our community.
My plan is to program through out the year events geared and designed for our youth. Be it through socials,coming out galas , scholarship / pageants and field trips.
Our fundraisers will be to obtain monies for furthering our education,books for those children who are not in the habit of reading,expanding our youths talent.Either through the arts,sciences or sports.
We want to be your real "bestfriends". Not the gangs or those who seek to use and abuse you.
We want to be your outlet.
The number one goal is to develop our youth and the beauty of their culture sharing it with our neighbors here in Polk County. The seperation of being is something that we want diminished , but it will take us a while to get the message across. But with your will , determination and our being part of the umbrella of ...The Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of Polk County,Inc. we will be secure in obtaining our goals.
So please join us and be part of something important in your growing young lives.
To join - all you need to be is between the ages of 12 to 19,pay a member fee of $20.00.We also sponsor "Coquí Club" for ages 5 to 11 yrs. old. Membership is only $5.00.Perfect situation for brothers and sisters!
And thats it! You will receive a memeber card and member certificate.
Being part of a legit and good organization will also help you with your future plans for college , Bright Futures , etc.

Future Plans
April plans on attending a private university to study pre-medicine, so one day she can become a general surgeon.
